Gate Kiosk Attendance for Schools: Face Enroll & Scan Without Student Phones

In most Indian K–12 schools, students do not carry smartphones. A shared tablet at the gate — running PAYA Campus kiosk mode — lets security or office staff mark attendance with face verification and optional GPS at the site.

Day-one setup

• Add campus site with gate coordinates in admin
• Bulk import students with parent phone numbers
• Open /campus/kiosk on the tablet and sign in as admin or staff
• Enroll each student’s face once from the roster
• Daily: liveness check → match → mark present or late

Works with class teacher roll

Gate attendance does not replace classroom roll. Teachers still mark section attendance on their phones; gate data catches arrivals and triggers parent alerts. Overrides are audit-logged.

Offline and connectivity

Poor Wi-Fi at the gate is common. Marks can queue locally and sync when the network returns — so the morning rush is not blocked by a slow connection.

Plan requirements

Gate kiosk with AI face is included on Campus Standard and Pro. Starter schools can use class teacher roll and manual marks until they upgrade.
